Panzea runs on a Linux environment with Apache Web Server and MySQL Database Server. Dynamic web pages are driven by Perl scripts. The panzea code base is available as independent software packages: Generic Search Page Framework: Panzea Search Pages run on top of a generic framework. The software has been submitted to CPAN (Comprehensive Perl Archive Network). Please install the HTML::SearchPage distribution from CPAN. Please download the Panzea-Searches package (below) for Panzea-specific components.
Geographic Display: The Panzea Geographic Display uses Google maps Service. A set of generic Perl modules have been developed around this service to implement the Panzea Geographic Display. The generic software components have been submitted to CPAN. Please install the HTML::GMap and GD::Icons distributions from CPAN. Please download the Panzea-Searches package (below) for Panzea-specific components.
Panzea Search Pages and Geographic Display: Panzea Search Pages and Geographic Display have been built on top of the generic components listed above. This software package contains these Panzea-specific components - CGI scripts, Perl libraries, configuration template and supplementary Perl scripts to process a GDPDM-based database for display on the web. The package includes an automatic installer and documentation on installation.
Look-Align Alignment Viewer: An interactive web-based application for displaying pre-computed multiple sequence alignments. Please see the alignment viewer page for downloading the software.
